Report: Bills claim CB Darius Slay off waivers

Darius Slay has a new home.

The Buffalo Bills claimed the veteran corner off waivers on Wednesday, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported.

Slay was released by the Pittsburgh Steelers on Tuesday, just two days after the Steelers lost to the Bills 26-7. Slay was a healthy scratch for the game.

The 34-year-old began his career with the Detroit Lions in 2013 after being drafted 36th overall. During his time with the Lions, he made three Pro Bowl appearances and was named a first-team all-pro in 2017.

He was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles in 2019, where he made another three Pro Bowl appearances and won a Super Bowl in February.

Slay was released by the Eagles in March and signed a one-year deal with the Steelers in the off-season.
