EXCLUSIVE: Girl With Brutally Honest Reaction to Al Roker at Thanksgiving Parade Returns for 2nd Surprise

The breakout star from this year’s Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade has received another present.
On the Dec. 1 episode of TODAY, 7-year-old Elliott Austin — who went viral after she said she had already seen the Rockettes when Al Roker gave her a “golden ticket” during NBC’s coverage of the Thanksgiving Day Parade to see them — received tickets to catch the Broadway musical “Six,” also on on Dec. 1.
And, don’t worry — Elliott vigorously shook her head when playfully asked if she had already seen the show.

In addition, she received a shopping spree at an American Girl store.
“Yeah!” Elliott roared in excitement upon learning about that surprise.
During the parade, Al presented Elliott, who hails from Tampa, Florida, a “golden ticket” to see the Rockettes, the iconic dance troupe celebrating their 100th anniversary this year.
Al asked Elliott, who turned 7 on Thanksgiving Day, if she was excited to see the Rockettes, prompting her very honest reply.
“I did that yesterday,” she said.

“You did that yesterday? Well, by golly, you get to see them again!” Al said, laughing.
“Yay!” Elliott said.
Elliott’s mother, Casey Austin, said she had been planning to bring her daughter to New York, and to see the Rockettes, ever since she discovered her 7th birthday would fall on Thanksgiving. The response to her viral moment has been amazing, according to Austin, who said Elliott ended up in the segment after a family friend reached out to help make it happen.
“We’re still digesting it,” she said while appearing on TODAY with her daughter. “We were supposed to leave home yesterday and we ended up staying here and enjoying the city.”
Austin also said they’ve heard from a lot of people in their life.
“Yes, friends, teachers, family,” she said.
