Four more victims of Joshua Brown identified as number of charges grow to 156

Four more children have been identified as victims of accused paedophile Joshua Brown.

In July the 27-year-old childcare worker was charged with more than 70 sex offences involving eight children at a centre in Point Cook, Melbourne.

The alleged victims were aged between five months and two-years-old, and the charges included sexual penetration of a child under 12, sexual assault of a child under 16, producing child abuse material and possessing child abuse material.

He is also accused of contaminating children’s food.

As a result thousands of parents were told their children should undergo testing for serious sexually transmitted infections (STIs) including chlamydia, gonorrhoea and syphilis.

On Thursday police said four more victims had been identified, leading to additional charges against Brown.

The victims attended Nino Early Learning Adventures in Point Cook, Only About Children in Williamstown and Aussie Kindies Early Learning Centre in Keilor.

“The families of the four victims have been notified and have been provided with all available support services,” Victoria Police said.

Brown was hit with 83 further charges, which relate to his initial eight victims and the new victims.

The charges include six counts of penetration of a child under 12, eight counts of producing child abuse material for use through a carriage service, eight counts of sexual assault of a child under 16 and 12 counts of bestiality.

Police said the bestiality offences are part of a separate investigation unrelated to the childcare centres.

Brown has now been charged with 156 offences.

He has remained in custody since May and will face the Melbourne Magistrates Court on February, 10 2026.

A total of 23 childcare centres where Brown worked between 2017 and 2025 have been identified. A full list is available on the Victorian government’s website.

Prior to July, Brown was not known to police.

Detectives began investigating him after allegedly discovering child abuse material.
