It’s yet another lovely Lotto win for Cork as one player scooped over €122k in yesterday’s draw – just in time for Christmas.
The lucky Quick Pick ticket was purchased on 2nd December from Broderick’s Shop, Shanagarry Cross, Shanagarry, Midleton – the same town where the massive €1m jackpot was won last month. This punter matched five numbers and the bonus in the draw last night to win a fantastic prize of €122,669. The numbers from the draw on Wednesday, December 3rd were 4, 21, 23, 27, 34, 38 and the Bonus was 37.
If you found out you’ve won big, don’t panic! The first thing you should do is sign the back of your Lotto ticket. Then, contact the National Lottery prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie to arrange the collection of your prize. It’s also advised that you hide your ticket somewhere safe, but also where you don’t forget where it is. Like this player for example – who put their winning Lotto scratch card under their mattress and slept on it just to make sure it was safe as houses.
The biggest win in last night’s draw was actually in Westmeath. Here, one punter won the overall jackpot of €6,241,505, just days after another player in the county won a EuroDreams Tier 2 prize worth €2,000 a month for five years. Darragh O’Dwyer, National Lottery spokesperson said: “We’re thrilled to announce Ireland’s newest millionaire, who has won an incredible €6,241,505 in last night’s Lotto draw. What makes this win even more remarkable is that it’s the second big prize to land in Westmeath this week!
“On Monday, a player in the county scooped the EuroDreams Tier 2 prize worth €2,000 a month for five years, and now, just days later, we have a Lotto jackpot winner taking home €6,241,505. Add to that, Sunday’s Daily Million top prize win of €1 million in Cavan, makes this an extraordinary week of big wins for our players! In total, the National Lottery has created 26 millionaires so far this year.”
