Barlow praises ‘brilliant’ Walker ahead of huge double header

Following an extended break for the FIBA Window, we are ready to get back out onto the court in Round 11 of the Hungry Jack’s NBL26 season.
Coming off one of his best games of the season, Tyson Walker will be looking to replicate his last performance against the Perth Wildcats.
Scoring 23 points, three of which came with 40 seconds remaining from deep, Assistant Coach David Barlow touched on the value Walker brings to the lineup.
“He’s been phenomenal since he first got here,” Barlow said.
“I think he’s a brilliant player, great person as well to be around, great for the team; a really, really high-level basketball player.
“So he’s just gotten better and better with all that we ask him to do… I think we are lucky to have a guy like Tyson and a player like him that fits in with what we do kind of so perfectly.
“The defence that he plays, the toughness that he plays with, the winning behaviors that he exhibits his talent offensively. I’m loving the way he goes about it for sure.”
Walker and the rest of the team will hit the road to face the Perth Wildcats on Thursday night from 9:30pm AEDT before returning to Melbourne for Throwdown 31 against the SEM Phoenix on Sunday afternoon from 2:30pm.
Fans can tune into both games via ESPN.
