Stephen King’s Mr Mercedes has been added to Netflix with the thriller series starring a host of big names including Succession and The Crown stars.

Mr Mercedes is winning over a fresh wave of viewers following its arrival on Netflix, with audiences discovering it boasts an impressive ensemble cast.
The series centres on retired detective Bill Hodges (portrayed by Brendan Gleeson), who remains tormented by an unresolved case involving a mass murderer dubbed Mr Mercedes.
When the perpetrator begins taunting Hodges through emails and videos, he embarks on a private investigation to locate him before another attack occurs.
Eight years after the three-series thriller first premiered, Stephen King’s gripping drama has now landed on Netflix.

Leading the drama is the hardened retired detective Bill Hodges, who now fills his days berating his neighbours’ kids and consuming excessive amounts of alcohol.
That is until the murderer who eluded him makes contact and begins winding him up.
The award-winning Irish actor is internationally known for portraying Alastor “Mad-Eye” Moody in the Harry Potter series, though his other notable performances include The Banshees, In Bruges, Gangs of New York and Braveheart.
His latest project saw him feature in the poignant drama H Is For Hawk alongside The Crown star Claire Foy.
Brady Hartsfield – Harry Treadaway

Actor Harry Treadaway is best known for his portrayal of Victor Frankenstein in the horror series Penny Dreadful, alongside roles as Narek in Star Trek: Picard, DI Keith Pedder in Deceit and Roddy Llewellyn in The Crown.
Treadaway brings to life the character of Brady Hartsfield, a clever yet disturbed individual who is also Mr Mercedes, the psychopathic killer who commandeered a Mercedes-Benz and took the lives of eight people.
Janey Patterson – Mary-Louise Parker

Janey Patterson is the sibling of the late Olivia Trelawney, the original owner of the Mercedes that Brady used as his murder weapon.
Janey, who is both charming and straightforward, urges Bill to persist in investigating her sister’s death, as she is resolute in uncovering the culprit.
Actress Mary-Louise Parker recently revisited Stephen King’s universe as Ms Sigsby in The Institute, but she is also recognised for her role as Nancy Botwin in Weeds.
Jerome Robinson – Jharrel Jerome

Actor Jharrel Jerome, who starred in the 2016 film Moonlight, has since taken on roles in other impactful true dramas such as Netflix’s When They See Us and Unstoppable alongside Jennifer Lopez.
Jerome portrays Hodges’ affable yet overconfident neighbour Jerome Robinson who assists the retiree with all things tech-related, which is how he becomes embroiled in the hunt for the Mercedes murderer.
Ida Silver – Holland Taylor

Ida Silver is another of Hodges’ outspoken neighbours who doesn’t shy away from speaking her mind. However, it’s evident from the outset that there’s a romantic spark between them.
Veteran actress Holland Taylor, known for her roles in numerous Hollywood films including Legally Blonde as Professor Stromwell, The Truman Show as Truman’s (Jim Carey) mother, and Beatrice Stanhope in the 1997 film George of the Jungle.
Moreover, she shared the screen with Charlie Sheen and Jon Cryer for 12 years as Evelyn Harper and played Cybil Richards in The Morning Show alongside Jennifer Anniston and Reece Witherspoon.
Holly Gibney – Justine Lupe

Holly, the younger cousin of Janey and Olivia, is a computer whizz and highly observant despite living with OCD and Sensory Processing Disorder.
Fans of Succession might recognise Holly’s actress, Justine Lupe, who portrayed Will Ferreyra in the acclaimed drama.
Lupe also brought to life the character of Astrid Weissman in The Marvelous Mrs Maisel and Morgan in Netflix’s Nobody Wants This, which is set to return for a third season.
Lou Linklatter – Breeda Wool

The sharp-tongued and sarcastic Lou Linklatter, who works with Brady at Supreme Electronix and is his closest semblance to a real friend, is played by actress Breeda Wool.
Wool previously played Faith Duluth in the Lifetime drama UnREAL and has appeared in films such as Erasing Eden, Craters of the Moon and Automatic at Sea.
Deborah Hartsfield – Kelly Lynch
Completing the cast is 90210 actress Kelly Lynch, who takes on the role of Deborah, Brady’s alcoholic mother who harbours an unhealthy obsession with her son. Lynch was previously seen as Laurel Cooper.
