One clear winner emerges as West Ham United release Goal of the Month nomination videos

Lucas Paqueta, Callum Wilson and Mohamadou Kante were among the nominations as West Ham United released a catalogue of videos.
West Ham want their fans to vote for the Goal of the Month and have included strikes from the men’s team and women’s team, as well as the youth games.
While there were a number of impressive strikes, there appears to be one standout winner for the award.

Mohamadou Kante’s finish deserves to win Goal of the Month
It is hard to argue against Kante’s brilliant goal against Liverpool Under-21s at the start of November, winning the award.
The 20-year-old received the ball on the right wing, cut inside onto his weaker left foot as he drew a few Liverpool defenders with him, and without any indications as to what his plan was, fired home a brilliant effort from outside the box to score.
West Ham Under-21s won that game 3-0, but all everyone was talking about was the goal from the Frenchman.

Viviane Asseyi and Shekiera Martinez’s goals for the Women’s team against Southampton and Everton, respectively, have also been included in the voting options, along with Andre Dike’s goal against the Crystal Palace Under-18s.
The other nominations include Wilson’s set-piece goal against Bournemouth, Paqueta’s strike as West Ham beat Newcastle 3-1 at the start of November.

What does the future hold for Kante at West Ham United?
West Ham fans love it when one of their youngsters breaks into the first team and then makes that spot their own.
It is a proud moment for supporters as those who come up the ranks tend to respect the club more and understand what the ethos is to be an Irons player.
While Kante hasn’t been at the club since his teenage days, he still is learning his trade for the youth team and by the looks of it, is sending a message to Nuno and the rest of the coaches that he deserves a place in the first-team matchday squad.
The 20-year-old is capable of playing as a midfielder and a winger, and given the injury issues at West Ham, there is a chance that he could make the matchday squad sooner rather than later.
Rather than loaning him out, it would be wiser to keep him at the club, as he could get his first-team breakthrough before the end of the season.
