NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — FOX 17 News is in a Code Red Weather Alert for possible winter mix Thursday evening into Friday morning.
The next weather maker arrives late Thursday into Thursday night with a possible rain/freezing and snow.
A winter weather advisory has been issued for the Cumberland Plateau, where there is a low chance of snow accumulation overnight. A dusting is possible by Friday morning.
Other areas along the I-40 corridor could see a light glaze of ice mixed with snowflakes. Less than 0.1″ of ice is likely.
The amount of impact will depend on how cold temperatures get early Friday morning.
Whatever we do see, it will be limited. Highs jump above freezing by mid-morning and should melt anything we have on the ground.
