THURSDAY: Another cold and cloudy day across the Mid-South – morning 30s will only manage in the upper 30s to near 40 again by the afternoon hours. Another disturbance will push toward the area by late afternoon – yielding another rain south and a wintry mix near and north of I-40. Overall – this should come with limited consequences with little to no accumulations. Impacts will be nuisance road issues early Friday morning with lows in the upper 20s and lower 30s.
FRIDAY: Clouds will hang firmly through most of your Friday as our system departs to the east. In its wake – staying colder than average and possible roadway impacts kicking off the day. Add time and patience to your commute – especially on bridges and overpasses. We’ll try to make a run toward the lower 40s through the afternoon hours. Skies stay mostly to variably cloudy as lows fall into the 30s overnight.
EXTENDED PERIOD: We’ll trend drier and, a bit, brighter in time for the St. Jude Marathon Saturday; morning temperatures will be in the middle 30s; we’ll top out in the 40s to near 50 by late afternoon. Another disturbance may kick off more clouds and a passing shower chance late Saturday into early Sunday. A warming trend to get closer to average – at least briefly – by mid-next week.
