3:42 — A clinical drive from the Cowboys to get into the red zone, but the Lions stop them just ahead of the end zone. Halftime: Detroit Lions 20, Dallas Cowboys 9
A great first half from the Lions, outgaining Dallas by less than 50 yards, but consistently making stops in their own territory and forcing the Cowboys to settle for field goals.

4:27 — The Lions offense is hungry. Despite two early penalties on the drive, the Lions recover as Jared Goff finds Jameson Williams downfield for 25 yards. David Montgomery does the rest, barreling through the defense for a 35-yard touchdown run. Lions up two scores in the final five minutes of the half. Lions 17, Cowboys 3

Detroit taking over in Dallas territory.

The Lions are in their all-white uniforms to face the Dallas Cowboys.
DETROIT — The Detroit Lions (7-5) and the Dallas Cowboys (6-5-1) are effectively in a must-win situation to keep their postseason hopes alive in their matchup at Ford Field tonight.
The Lions are in a poor run of form as they continue to trade off wins and losses over the past eight games, but haven’t shown up consistently in games befitting of recent Detroit teams.
The Cowboys, meanwhile, have hit their stride behind a powerful offense, winning three straight games and surging back into playoff contention.
The winner of the matchup should still have an outside shot at claiming a spot in the postseason, but the loser will just about need a miracle to keep their season going past the regular season.
The Lions are also feeling the injury bug hard again as cornerback Terrion Arnold has been ruled out for the season, safety Kerby Joseph remains out, guard Kayode Awosika won’t be available as Detroit’s interior O-line continues to get depleted.
There’s a small chance for wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown to play tonight, but it’s looking possible he joins Kalif Raymond in missing the matchup.
If the Lions are going to get the win tonight, it’ll certainly be a testament to depth players stepping up.
This post will update with inactives, pregame updates, drive summaries, injury updates and more. Follow along throughout the afternoon.
