The freezing fog is expected to develop across Kent tonight, with visibility falling below 100 metres in some areas.
People are being told to expect slower journey times with delays to bus and train services, and that there is a chance of delays or cancellations to flights.
Motorists are being urged to check the road conditions before driving and that their vehicle’s fog lights are working before setting off on their journey.
Forecasters are also warning that patches of ice may form on untreated surfaces following rainfall today.
The alert is in place across the county, including in Tonbridge and Malling, Maidstone, Tunbridge Wells, Weald, Sevenoaks, Ashford, Romney Marsh, Hythe and Lydd.
It also covers East Sussex, Surrey, and West Sussex.
