Pourquoi Pas Papa is a nice horse. He ran in France first time out when finishing second in a juvenile hurdle. I like him, he’s nice and he does nothing wrong.
Mon Champion was disappointing on his seasonal debut but the handicapper has given him a chance after dropping him 5lbs. He’s run over fences in France so the Sandown track shouldn’t be an issue. He’s got to step up on what he’s shown.
If No Drama This End is as good as we think he is, this looks like a penalty kick doesn’t it? It’s a race which is worth £45,000 so this is a great opportunity. Sandown is a good track and he’ll get nice soft ground. Paul and I both thought it’s the right race.
Quebecois has got a little bit to do in terms of the Skelton horse Doyen Quest but he came out of his seasonal debut at Exeter well. I’m looking forward to riding him but I have this little thing in my head that he could be better going left handed. That’s my only question mark.
There was clearly something amiss during Welcom To Cartries‘ seasonal debut at Cheltenham in October. He’s still not a bad horse and he’s got plenty of ability. This is a drop down in class and he should run well.
Courageous Strike is a nice horse with a good bit of ability. I don’t know how we’ll ride him though! We could pop him out or take our time on him. He has no shortage of ability and if he relaxes, he’ll go close.
