Sara Cox discussed her ‘exciting’ new BBC career move on Thursday’s episode of Morning Live.
Sara, 50, co-hosted Thursday’s Morning Live with Greg Rutherford, where chat got onto her new venture as well as her recent incredible Great Northern marathon quest.
Greg, 39, said: “We’ve got another fantastic new show that’s really exciting that’s on BBC One a bit later on as well. That’s your The Marvellous Miniature Workshop.”
To which Sara responded: “Yeah The Marvellous Miniature Workshop back today, 2pm, BBC One. All six episodes are up on iPlayer now.
“If you fancy going and having a look. Not now, obviously, because you’ve got to watch Morning Live.”

Explaining the new series, Sara said: “It all starts with a story from a person about a really important moment or time in their life. And then our fantastic miniatures recreate the place where it happened, but in teeny tiny forms.”
After giving a glimpse at the show, Sara continued: “So, as you saw there, it could be a coal mine in Yorkshire, it could be a 1980s maths classroom.
“It’s beautiful. Go on there on iPlayer if you want to go and have a look.”
Meanwhile, just last month, Sara completed a Great Northern marathon quest, which saw her tackle 135 miles on foot, spanning four counties – Northumberland, Durham, North Yorkshire and West Yorkshire – equivalent to five marathons over five days.

The star raised over £9.5 million for Children in Need after completing the week-long run, which she described as the “maddest, most painful, wonderful thing I’ve ever, ever done”.
Talking about the challenge on BBC Morning Live, Sara said: “Thank you to everybody who donated. I mean, incredible effort, guys.”
Speaking about how she felt after the challenge, Sara admitted: “The week or so after, I was pretty sore, but actually, a couple of days ago, I went out for a very little run.
“As I was getting the dogs out of the car, this woman was walking past with her dog, and she spotted me. She went, ‘Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no. What are you doing? No, you shouldn’t be doing that.’
“I was like ‘just go inside!’ so yeah, I’m fine now though, thanks.”
The Marvellous Miniature Workshop airs today (Thursday 4 December) at 2pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
