As Kevin Hart and Heidi Klum took the stage to host the 2025 FIFA World Cup Draw, Hart was caught in an embarrassing moment as he had to beg fans for bigger applause.

The pair took the stage, and as Klum waved to the crowd of FIFA fans awaiting the selection, Hart was forced to say, “You guys can do better than that! Come on!”

“Make some noise in the air one time,” he continued to encourage fans as he clapped. But despite his best efforts, FIFA fans were still not too thrilled to see Hart on their screens. One person took to X, writing, “Kevin Hart. settle down. I know a billion ppl are watching but chill.”

“Honestly, did Kevin Hart do any actual prep for this? It’s like he has not seen the words in the prompter,” someone else wrote.

Another suggested that Hart’s presence soiled the event, writing, “FIFA World Cup Draw being presented by Kevin Hart and Heidi Klum…Games gone.”

This is the comedian’s first time hosting the World Cup draw.

Fox chose the Hollywood standout for the event as the US prepares to host the games next year.

Meanwhile, German supermodel and television presenter Klum, now hosting the draw for the second time, described the assignment as an honor and a full-circle moment in her career.

Ahead of the event, Klum had said it was an “honor” to be hosting the men’s FIFA World Cup draw once again as she prepared to anchor the proceedings in Washington, D.C.

Klum is co-hosting this year’s show alongside Hart and actor Danny Ramirez.

With the event now in motion, the trio is guiding viewers and attendees through the schedule as team names are introduced and the 48-team tournament’s group-stage grid takes shape.

Kennedy Center hosts FIFA World Cup Draw

The draw itself is being conducted by retired soccer star Rio Ferdinand, who is joined by broadcaster Samantha Johnson.

As the event continues, they are supported by four draw assistants, all iconic figures from North American major-league sports, including seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady, four-time Stanley Cup winner Wayne Gretzky, three-time MLB MVP Aaron Judge, and four-time NBA champion Shaquille O’Neal.

For Klum, this marks her second time anchoring a World Cup draw. Her first hosting role came in Leipzig in December 2005 ahead of the 2006 tournament in Germany. She referenced that earlier experience this week, posting on social media, “Hosting the World Cup Draw was a highlight I’ll never forget. And now, 20 years later, I get to do it all over again in Washington. What an honor!”

The draw is staged in Washington at the Kennedy Center and is being broadcast across multiple platforms.
