‘Heartbreaking’ Olivia Colman drama with Walking Dead icon streaming for free

Award-winning Olivia Colman is renowned for her work Broadchurch and The Crown but this “gut-wrenching” forgotten drama is trending once again.
A “gritty” Olivia Colman drama is now ready to stream for free and it sees her starring alongside a Walking Dead legend.
Originally airing on Channel 4 in 2013, Run is a four-part anthology series that ties together the stories of four people who don’t seem to be connected but all have life-changing decisions to make.
Olivia Colman, who has starred in Broadchurch, Peep Show, Fleabag and The Crown, just to list some of her work, stars in the first episode with acting icon Lennie James.
James is best remembered for playing Morgan Jones in the AMC post-apocalyptic drama The Walking Dead, as well as for portraying DCI Tony Gates in Line of Duty season one.
Fans are now able to stream Run for free on ITV ’s streaming service ITVX, with the drama now in the top 10 most-watched shows.

Taking on the roles of Carol and Richard in Run, the official synopsis for episode one reads: “Carol is a tough single mother striving to keep her family together.
“When her teenage sons commit an act of random violence that ends in the death of a stranger, Carol faces the impossible choice of protecting her children or doing the right thing.”
Run also stars the likes of Made in Dagenham and Ray Winstone’s daughter Jaime Winstone, Harry Potter star Katie Leung and Waterloo Road actress Maria Critchley.
Fans have labelled the forgotten drama as “honest, heartbreaking and hopeful” but some have warned that it’s not for the “jolly hearted”.

“Great series for those who like actors at their best!”, someone posted as another said: “Love how this series of separate episodes each connect with each other, whilst you witness the impact of ripple effect.
“Quite dark, gritty and everything great about British drama! You will either love it for its raw truth, or hate it for its tone.”
A third echoed: “This four-part drama is not for the jolly hearted but instead more for serious lovers of honest drama.
“It pulls no punches and is as gritty as it gets. Gut wrenching from all members of the cast. Sadly this excellence seems to have passed by now forgotten.”
Run is available to watch on ITVX.
