Zooey Deschanel gives new update about her wedding with Jonathan Scott
Zooey Deschanel has recently shared new update about her upcoming wedding with fiancé Jonathan Scott.
The New Girl actress discussed her wedding planning in a latest interview with PEOPLE.
Zooey revealed that she and her fiancé, who have been engaged since 2023, are “not in a rush” to walk down the aisle.
Reflecting on her wedding plans with Jonathan, the Yes Man actress said, “It’s more exploratory.”
“We’re not in a rush because we’ve been together so long, so it’s not like we’re like, ‘We gotta get married.’ I’d rather find the right place, the right place and situation, so that it’s really special and fun,” explained the 45-year-old.
Zooey, who shares two kids with her ex-husband Jacob Pechenik, a movie producer, also pointed out the real reason behind the delay.
“The bar is high for throwing a party. So, it has to be really good. So that’s why it’s taking a long time,” added the American actress at the premiere of her new movie Merv on December 4.
Earlier, Jonathan also opened up about his wedding plans as he disclosed that there’s “a lot of stuff we want to do” for their big day.
“I think we want to have a warm wedding and haven’t figured out where that’s going to be yet. We literally haven’t made any plans yet,” continued the Property Brothers star.
Jonathan further said, “We’re busy with all of the kids’ stuff, and so we’re really just chauffeurs to the kids’ social lives.”
