Packers claim DL Quinton Bohanna off waivers from Seahawks

The Green Bay Packers were awarded defensive tackle Quinton Bohanna off of waivers from the Seattle Seahawks on Friday, according to the league’s transaction wire.
Bohanna, a sixth-round pick of the Dallas Cowboys in 2023, was waived by the Seahawks on Dec. 4. He played in five games for the Seahawks this season, seeing action on 32 defensive snaps. Per PFF, Bohanna had one hurry, one run stop and two total tackles while playing mostly as a nose tackle.

The Packers had an open roster spot after placing defensive tackle Devonte Wyatt on injured reserve on Friday. While assumed the roster spot would go to Jayden Reed or Brenton Cox Jr. on Saturday, the Packers needed to create the open spot to complete the claim for Bohanna.
Bohanna (6-4, 355) will have to pass a physical with the Packers before he’s added to the 53-man roster. If he does, he will join a group of young defensive tackles behind expected starters Karl Brooks and Colby Wooden. Expect Bohanna to join the 53-man roster in an official capacity on Saturday.
Bohanna has played in 39 career games with 13 starts, although most of his experience came during the 2021 and 2022 seasons with the Cowboys. He began the 2025 season on the Seahawks practice squad but was signed Nov. 8 after former Packers defensive lineman Jarran Reed went down with an injury.
The Packers have now added Bohanna and former New York Giants defensive tackle Jordon Riley to the mix along the defensive line after losing Wyatt, a starter, to a season-ending ankle injury. It appears the Packers now have three nose tackle types in Bohanna, Riley and undrafted free agent Nazir Stackhouse on the 53-man roster entering the final five games of the 2025 season.

More than likely, rookie Warren Brinson will be the primary backup behind Brooks at Wyatt’s old position, while Wooden, Riley, Bohanna and Stackhouse handle the nose tackle snaps.
