Merab Dvalishvili and Alexandre Pantoja are set to continue their record-setting runs.
At Friday’s official weigh-ins for UFC 323, Dvalishvili and Pantoja both successfully made weight, with Dvalishvili coming in at 135 pounds for his bantamweight title rematch against Petr Yan, and Pantoja coming in at 125 pounds for his flyweight title defense against Joshua Van.
The challengers also hit the mark, with Yan at 135 pounds and Van a shade under the championship limit at 124.5 pounds.
Dvalishvili looks to become the first UFC fighter to successfully defend a title four times in a calendar year, while Pantoja seeks his fifth consecutive title defense.
The official weigh-ins experienced a couple of blips, with a worn-out Brunno Ferreira showing up early in the weigh-in window and tipping the scales at 189 pounds, three pounds over the middleweight limit even with a one-pound allowance for a non-title fight. His bout with Marvin Vettori proceeds at a catchweight with Ferreira forfeiting 20 percent of his purse as penalty.
The Ultimate Fighter 32 champion Mairon Santos also forfeits 20 percent of his purse as he meets Muhammad Naimov in a catchweight bout after Santos missed the featherweight limit by 1.5 pounds.
