Max Holloway to defend BMF title against Charles Oliveira in UFC 326 main event

Max Holloway puts his “BMF” title on the line when he faces Charles Oliveira in a rematch in the new main event just announced for UFC 326 taking place on March 7 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
The fight was announced on Friday as part of a special UFC press conference kicking off the 2026 schedule, which also begins a new broadcast deal with Paramount.
Holloway and Oliveira first met back in 2015 while both were competing at featherweight but the fight lasted less than two minutes. An early exchange saw Oliveira suffer a freaky injury that ended his night before it ever really got started with Holloway earning the first-round win.
Now more than a decade later, Holloway and Oliveira are both ranked among the best fighters in the world at lightweight and this time they’ll be competing for the honor of being called the “baddest motherf*cker” in the UFC.
Holloway claimed that title with a stunning, last-second knockout over Justin Gaethje back at UFC 300 and then defended the “BMF” belt with an equally impressive performance over Dustin Poirier in the final fight of his career. His next fight against Oliveira serves as his second title defense as they also look to inch closer to a potential rematch against reigning UFC lightweight champion Ilia Topuria.
Both fell to Topuria in past fights — Holloway at featherweight and Oliveira at lightweight — but a win at UFC 326 could put either one right back in the race for another shot at him.
