Is Jaland Lowe playing for Kentucky tonight vs Gonzaga?

The Kentucky Wildcats are still looking for their first big win of the 2025-26 season. So far, they’re 0-3 against ranked opponents, and haven’t really looked competitive in two of those games. They’ll played well defensively against North Carolina, but still lost a close one. They take on No. 11 Gonzaga tonight, but will get a boost from the return of Jaland Lowe.
Lowe is the only true point guard on Kentucky’s roster, and they have missed him. Denzel Aberdeen and Jasper Johnson have done admirable jobs, but it’s obvious at times that they’re playing out of position, and the offense has gone through too many stagnant periods.
The Field of 68’s Jeff Goodman is reporting that Lowe will play after missing the last several games with a shoulder injury. His ability to drive and either score or find open shooters will make a big difference, even if he comes off the bench. He allows the offense to flow much more freely.
How much will he play? Time will tell on that, but Mark Pope is sure to be glad to have him back, and Big Blue Nation will be happy to see him on the floor, in whatever capacity it winds up being.
The Wildcats tip off against Gonzaga at 7:00 P.M. ET. Follow along with our live blog here.
