There’s a great deal of mutual respect between Adam Sandler and Ariana Grande. The two celebrities were paired for Actors on Actors, and were among the numerous stars on hand Friday. Adam has two kids who love Ariana’s music and sing her songs during car rides. While he admits the car rides listening to Ariana can “get filthy at times,” the comedian says his children have learned stuff he’s glad they know as a result.
Ariana has been known to have some salty language in some of her hits, including Nasty. Adam, meanwhile, is no stranger to movies that some might not deem appropriate for kids.

They may be known for different things, but Adam and Ariana have a deep appreciation for each other’s work. While Adam talked about the influence she’s had on his children, Ariana is also a big fan of the former Saturday Night Live (SNL) actor’s work.
Off the set of Actors on Actors she mentioned her affinity for Adam’s movie The Waterboy. In addition to that, she admits she loved “obviously Billy Madison, I love your dramatic performance as well.”
Adam admitted that his two daughters love Ariana’s song NASA urging their father to mention it while at the event. He says he has Ariana’s tunes in his car playlist. Meanwhile, Ariana also mentioned how much she loved and appreciated him during his days at SNL.
The movie Jay Kelly, starring Adam and George Clooney, earned the former a nomination for Outstanding Supporting Performance at the Gotham Awards.
Ariana received a Best Supporting Actress nomination for the 2024 film Wicked, based on the musical. She reprises her role as Galinda Upland in the sequel Wicked: For Good, which came out in theatres across the US in November. The film has already taken in over $400 million at the box office.
