NBA World Reacts To Anthony Davis’ Shocking Performance In Mavs-Thunder Game

On Friday night, the Dallas Mavericks played the Thunder in Oklahoma City.

The Mavs lost by a score of 132-111.

Anthony Davis finished with the loss with two points, eight rebounds, six assists and one block while shooting 1/9 from the field in 24 minutes of playing time.

Davis came into the night with averages of 20.6 points, 10.8 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.8 blocks per contest while shooting 52.0% from the field and 35.0% from three-point range.

He is in his first full season playing for Dallas.

With the loss, the Mavs dropped to 8-16 in 24 games, which has them as the 12th seed in the Western Conference.

The loss also snapped a three-game winning streak (and they are now 3-6 in nine games on the road away from Dallas).

Following the Thunder, the Mavs will play their next game on Saturday when they return home to host Kevin Durant and the Houston Rockets.

Davis was the first pick in the 2012 NBA Draft out of Kentucky.

He spent the first seven seasons of his career with the New Orleans Pelicans before a trade sent him to the Los Angeles Lakers.

In 2020, Davis helped lead the Lakers to the NBA Championship over the Miami Heat.

On the other side, the Thunder continued their dominance, improving to an NBA-best 22-1 in 23 games, which has them as the first seed in the Western Conference.

They are in the middle of a 14-game winning streak (and 11-0 at home).

Following the Mavs, the Thunder will play their next game on Sunday when they visit the Utah Jazz.
