Jasleen Singh, the wife of FLAGRANT podcast co-host Akaash Singh, explained that she didn’t exactly have a “roster” before meeting her husband.
In late November, the couple, who married in 2021, fought back against detractors on social media, after Jasleen appeared to disprove that she was a virgin upon meeting Akaash on the Main Character podcast.
In a TikTok post, Jasleen said that both she and Akaash deflowered each other when they began dating, although both had “hooked up” and dated other people prior.
But on the Wednesday (December 3) episode of Flagrant, the couple put the speculation about their sex life to bed once and for all. Around the 3:30 mark of the video above, Jasleen playfully explained her take on having a “roster” when she was in college.
“I didn’t even watch Jersey Shore in high school because I felt it to be too inappropriate,” Jasleen said. “So when I got to college, I’m like, Oh my god, I can dress however I want. I can do whatever I want. So it didn’t actually translate to a roster. It just meant like two guys I was talking to and flirting with at the same time. That’s it.”
Jasleen added that what she meant by “hooking up” was “making out.” “Everything I say is so amplified and hyperbolic because it’s so incongruous to who I actually am as a person,” she said.
Afterwards, the Flagrant crew joked about Jasleen’s past obsession with buffalo chicken wraps, which she credited to being “insulated” before she attended college. The influencer also laughed at Akaash’s remark that the public thinks she’s a “gold-digging whore.”
According to the podcaster and comedian, his wife is far from a gold-digger, as Jasleen supported him throughout a period when he was virtually penniless.
“We were basically homeless for a month,” Akaash said in a stand-up set, which leaked online last month. “I remember, the night before we went to the couch, we had to stay in my apartment illegally. … It’s just me and her sleeping on a hardwood floor, I’m 34 years old, she’s 25 years old.
“I’m looking at this girl, like, ‘Man, you could go be with an Indian who’s a doctor. Like a real Indian. You’re a beautiful girl, you have so much ahead of you. Me, I don’t know what my life is gonna be.”
