Ryan Gravenberch’s Leeds preview: ‘We have to go with our strength and power’

The Reds will make a swift return to action on Saturday in a 5.30pm GMT kick-off at Elland Road.

Arne Slot’s side defeated West Ham United 2-0 last weekend at London Stadium, ahead of a midweek 1-1 draw with Sunderland at Anfield.

Daniel Farke’s Leeds provide the third top-flight opposition inside seven days for Liverpool, and Gravenberch is hopeful he and his teammates can build on the four points accrued so far.

“We were happy with the result against West Ham,” Gravenberch told Liverpoolfc.com.

“I think in the first half we played some good football there and the second half was a bit different. Then the game against Sunderland was a difficult game. We know they are a good team and they’re doing really well this season.

“We conceded again for 1-0 but we showed that we still have a fighting spirit to come back. It didn’t go our way but in the end we got one point, so a win and a draw. We can be a bit happy but with the draw we are not happy. Now we go again on Saturday.”
