Forest Service seeks public input on Caldor Fire restoration project | California News | 2news.com

The Forest Service is once again looking for feedback over future Caldor Fire restoration projects.
The fire burned more than 221,000 acres in the El Dorado, Amador and Alpine counties in 2021. It destroyed more than 1,000 buildings and injured 21 people.
This project is expected to focus on improving watershed health, forest resilience and wildlife habitat.
The draft environmental assessment can be reviewed on the project webpage or on Pinyon Public. All comments must be submitted through the comment form on the project webpage or through the U.S. Postal Service.
