Manuel Neuer raves about Bayern Munich teammate Harry Kane’s qualities

Manuel Neuer was there when Harry Kane won his first trophy, as Tottenham Hotspur managed to overcome Bayern Munich to win the prestigious Audi Cup in 2019. He was part of the Bayern team that gave Kane and his teammates a thorough dressing down in a 7-2 away victory in the Champions League. But for around two and a half years how, at the time of writing, Neuer and Kane have been teammates at Bayern. Having gotten to know the latter, the former knows good of a player England’s captain is:
“He’s one of the best attacking players I’ve ever played with,” Neuer said confidently to Sky Sports in a recent interview, as captured by @iMiaSanMia. “He’s an absolute killer in front of goal. He can score with any part of his body. He always knows where the goal is. He also has great timing for his shots, for the right move on the defender when he can shoot through their legs. He’s good in the air. He has a superb understanding of the game, both inside and outside the box. He defends well and also tracks back. He has everything a striker needs. We’re delighted to have Harry Kane in our team.”
Having already won two trophies together, the duo will hope to end the season with another haul. And who knows? Maybe this season will not be the final season they spend together at the club.
