Bayern Munich has hit the road for a big Bundesliga match against VfB Stuttgart in a game that the Bavarians cannot afford to take for granted.
Head coach Vincent Kompany will be tasked with helping his squad avoid a letdown against a dangerous Die Schwaben side. The Bavarians have not been at their best of late, but there is no reason to think that this will be another struggle that comes down to added time.
At some point, Bayern Munich has to snap out of the funk and this could be the time to do it.
VfB Stuttgart’s backline (aside of Maximilian Mittelstädt) is average to below average and Sebastian Hoeneß has been reluctant in the past to park the bus against the Bavarians. In addition, Hoeneß knows that he has an attack good enough to threaten Bayern Munich.
It seems like a good bet that Stuttgart will play this straight and go after a win with aggression. That should play into Bayern Munich hands.
Let’s call it Bayern Munich winning 3-1 over VfB Stuttgart.
