The Washington Nationals are trading left-hander Jose A. Ferrer to the Seattle Mariners for catcher Harry Ford and pitching prospect Isaac Lyon, sources told ESPN’s Jeff Passan.
Ferrer, 25, posted a 4.48 ERA and 8.4 K/9 with 11 saves in 76 1/3 innings for the Nationals last season.
The 22-year-old Ford made eight plate appearances in the majors in 2025, recording one hit and one RBI. The Mariners selected him 12th overall in the 2021 MLB Draft.
Lyon, 21, was a 10th-round pick in the 2025 draft out of Grand Canyon. He made four appearances at Class-A Modesto this year, logging a 7.30 ERA and 10.9 K/9 in 12 1/3 innings.
