Saturday’s FTB: Who is in net?

In case you missed it, Joe Woll left the game on Thursday with a lower body injury of unknown type. There was no meaningful postgame word on his condition and as the Leafs would have flown back to Toronto yesterday and had no practice, nothing further has been said.
We should likely assume Dennis Hildeby is in net tonight against the evil ones, but beyond that, we’ll have to wait for news. The Leafs are not immediately faced with a back-to-back, so there’s no need for rash action.

With Joseph Woll joining Anthony Stolarz on the injured list, Dennis Hildeby is suddenly the No. 1 goalie in Toronto. “You always got to be ready,” the 24-year-old Swede said. “Just do the best you can and just enjoy the moment.”
At least the Leafs won’t be doing this:

The Capitals had to make a PTO on the fly.
This is a story about a story that isn’t a story:
Kings not considering coaching change — The Fourth Period
The Los Angeles Kings are not considering a coaching change, the team tells TFP, despite a report suggesting otherwise.
But the interesting thing here is that the two most often mentioned coaches fans fantasy replace their team’s current head coach with, Peter DeBoer and John Tortorella, are both on the job with the Olympic teams for their respective countries. If a team is seriously considering a coaching change, it’s more likely to happen after the Olympic break than before that.
Leafs drafted defender Victor Johansson has been selected for the 26-man WJC roster for Sweden. We should hear about Team Canada’s soon, but count on Ben Danford being on it. Final rosters are due right before the event starts.
Norway is not in the WJC, they are one division down, and their games start tomorrow. This source says Tinus Luc Klobar will be on the Norwegian team.
The winner of this tournament is promoted to the big show next year.
Trade rumours in December!

That’s it for now. The preview will be out sometime today, and maybe we’ll have news on Joe Woll as well.
Have a good day until then.
