Isaac ‘Pitbull’ Cruz vs Lamont Roach fight time, live updates, how to watch

David Benavidez describes impact of family support, boxing future
Phoenix native boxer David Benavidez on having family in Saudi Arabia for his upcoming fight, and how he approaches his career as a world champion.
- Lamont Roach will challenge Isaac “Pitbull” Cruz for the interim WBC junior welterweight title in San Antonio.
- The pay-per-view event begins at 7 p.m. CT on Saturday, Dec. 6, and costs $74.99 on Prime Video.
Lamont Roach moves up to a third weight class in as many fights as he challenges interim WBC junior welterweight champion Isaac “Pitbull” Cruz in San Antonio’s Frost Bank Center.
Cruz is a former world champion and has won two consecutive 10-round bouts this year, bouncing back from a decision loss to Jose Valenzuela in August 2024. Roach is coming off a career-best performance, fighting to a controversial majority draw against lightweight champion Gervonta “Tank” Davis in March.
“Everybody knows I like to throw. There’s going to be some moments where the cameras better be ready,” Roach said at the final press conference. “He’s throwing missiles in there and I’m going to throw them back.”
The remainder of the card has seen its fair share of issues on fight week. First, Janibek Alimkhanuly tested positive for a banned substance and was removed from what would’ve been a middleweight title unification against WBA champion Erislandy Lara in the co-main event. Lara will instead face Johan Gonzalez in the second bout on the pay-per-view.
O’Shaquie Foster and Stephen Fulton’s WBC junior lightweight title fight was moved to the co-main event and Fulton proceeded to miss weight by two pounds on Dec. 5. With Fulton no longer able to win Foster’s 130-pound belt, the WBC then sanctioned the bout for its interim lightweight title.
