Kendal Grey emerged victorious in the Women’s Iron Survivor Challenge at NXT Deadline to secure a future shot at the NXT Women’s Championship.
The Evolve Women’s Champion defeated Sol Ruca, Lola Vice, Kelani Jordan, and Jordynne Grace in San Antonio to earn a match against Jacy Jayne at New Year’s Evil on January 6, 2026.
Rules
The match format began with two competitors, with a new entrant joining every five minutes until all five women were in the ring. The wrestler with the most points after 25 minutes was declared the winner, with points awarded for pinfalls, submissions, or disqualifications. Any competitor who conceded a fall was forced into a penalty box for 90 seconds.
The match
Grey and Jordan began the contest, trading momentum early on. Grey secured the first point of the match just before the five-minute mark by pinning Jordan following a powerslam.
Jordynne Grace entered third, establishing control with power moves. Jordan returned from the penalty box to pin Grey shortly after, evening the scoreboard. Lola Vice entered fourth and immediately made an impact, pinning Grey to earn her first point. Upon her release, Grey capitalized on a chaotic sequence to pin Grace, bringing her total to two points. Grace responded by pinning Jordan just as the final entrant was due.
Sol Ruca entered last but was immediately attacked by Jordan, who targeted Ruca’s knee before serving a penalty. Medical officials checked on Ruca while the match continued. Ruca eventually returned to the ring, executing a double Sol Snatcher to pin both Vice and Jordan, quickly earning two points to tie for the lead.
The final minutes saw a flurry of falls that leveled the playing field. Jordan pinned Grace, Grace pinned Jordan, and Vice pinned Grey, resulting in a five-way tie at two points apiece with two minutes remaining.
In the closing seconds, Ruca delivered a cutter to Vice off the steel steps on the outside. Inside the ring, Jordan executed a 450 splash on Vice but was unable to secure the pin. Grey seized the opportunity, hitting Vice with a variation of her Shades of Grey finisher off the top rope to score the deciding fall as time expired.
Following the match, NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne and the members of Fatal Influence appeared on the ramp to stare down the new number one contender.
