Brandon Williams outplays starter in win over Clippers

by Bruno Mulé | Mavericks Correspondent | Sun, Nov 30th 9:53am EST

Despite coming off the bench behind Ryan Nembhard, Brandon Williams commanded the lion’s share of the playing time at point guard in Saturday’s victory. He logged 26 minutes compared to Nembhard’s 21, translating that opportunity into 14 points (5-of-14 FG, 4-of-5 FT), seven assists, three steals, and one block.

Fantasy Impact:

The seven assists marked his highest total since a November 12 matchup against New Orleans. While his perimeter stroke is still developing—he failed to connect on a three-pointer in the win—Williams has become a player to monitor closely as the Mavericks continue to employ an unpredictable rotation in the backcourt.
