Despite Mother Nature’s best effort to spoil the party, the starting lineup is set for the 58th Annual Snowball Derby at Five Flags Speedway. Following an intense qualifying round and 25-lap Last Chance Qualifier on Saturday evening, the 36 drivers competing in Sunday’s race have been determined.

In his return to the Snowball Derby, Preston Peltier earned his second career Snowball Derby pole award with a fast lap of 16.240 seconds. Two-time Snowball Derby winner and last year’s pole winner Ty Majeski will start from the outside of the front row after turning in a time of 16.301 seconds.
Hudson Bulger, Jake Finch and Spencer Davis completed the top five in qualifying.
Chase Pinsonneault survived the scare to earn the 30th and final lock-in spot through time trials.
NASCAR Cup Series star Kyle Busch, a two-time Snowball Derby winner, led the 25-lap LCQ wire-to-wire to lock into the show.
Provisional starting spots went to Matt Craig (Blizzard Series) and Gavan Boschele (Southern Super Series).
