Broncos made 3 roster moves on Saturday

The Denver Broncos made three roster moves ahead of an AFC West showdown with the Las Vegas Raiders this weekend.

First, the Broncos promoted tight end Marcedes Lewis from the practice squad to the 53-man roster. To make room for Lewis on the active roster, Denver waived linebacker Garret Wallow.

The Broncos also elevated Jordan Turner from the practice squad to the game-day roster for Week 14. Turner will give the team more depth at linebacker on Sunday and then revert back to the practice squad on Monday.

NFL teams are allowed to elevate up to two players to the game-day roster each week, and those players do not have to clear waivers before returning to the practice squad. However, there is a three-elevation limit per player each season. This marks Turner’s third and final elevation of the year.

  2. Cut LB Garret Wallow from active roster
  3. Elevate LB Jordan Turner to game-day roster

Denver will aim to improve its place in the AFC’s playoff race with a potential conference win in Week 14. Sunday’s game (2:05 p.m. MT) will be regionally televised on CBS (view the TV broadcast map).
