Broncos promote TE Marcedes Lewis to active roster, elevate ILB Jordan Turner for Week 14 game vs. Raiders

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Broncos have added a tight end to their active roster ahead of Sunday’s game against the Raiders.
Denver promoted tight end Marcedes Lewis from the practice squad to the active roster, the team announced Saturday.
The Broncos waived linebacker Garret Wallow in a corresponding move.
Denver also elevated inside linebacker Jordan Turner from the practice squad to the active roster for Sunday’s divisional matchup.
The Broncos initially signed Lewis to their practice squad in late October, and he appeared in Denver’s next three games. The 2006 first-round pick became the oldest player to appear in a game for the Broncos, playing 20 percent of Denver’s offensive snaps in those games.
After the Broncos elevated Lewis for those three games, the team needed to promote him to their active roster for him to be eligible to play again.
Lewis’ promotion comes after the team ruled out Nate Adkins on Friday for the Week 14 game.
Turner, an undrafted rookie from Michigan State, has previously been elevated for a pair of games this season and played 59 percent of Denver’s special teams snaps in those matchups.
The Broncos will aim to push their winning streak to 10 games on Sunday against the Raiders.
