In court, the prosecution reportedly submitted the recovered message, asserting that Dileep’s unexpected communication with the Chief Minister and senior police officials was far from coincidental. They also reiterated their long-standing claim that resentment over the assaulted actress revealing Dileep’s relationship with Kavya Madhavan to his then-wife, Manju Warrier, was the alleged motive behind the crime. On a night in February 2017, a leading Malayalam female actor was abducted and sexually abused in a moving car in Ernakulam by six men, who also video-recorded the act to blackmail her later. The survivor approached the police the next day, and the case soon led to the arrest of the alleged mastermind and actor-producer, Dileep. Dileep is the eighth accused in the case. On the work front, Dileep is all set for his major comeback with ‘Bha.Bha. Ba’.
