Actress assault case: Tracking the vehicles and alleged conspiracy of Pulsar Suni and associates

Six vehicles linked to the 2017 actress assault case remain in court custody, including the Traveller van and Pulsar bike used by the first accused’s gang.

Kochi: Six vehicles are involved in the actress assault case as evidence. The vehicles, including the Traveller delivery van and the Pulsar bike brought by the assailants, including Pulsar Suni, are still in court custody. Meanwhile, the car in which the actress was assaulted was later returned to its owner as per court proceedings.
The actress was attacked on February 17, 2017. Pulsar Suni and his gang assaulted the actress in an XUV car owned by director Lal’s daughter-in-law. This car was sent to bring the actress to Kochi from Thrissur. The car was driven by Martin Antony, the second accused in the case.
During the journey to Kochi, Martin had given Pulsar Suni and his gang the on-time location information. Accordingly, Pulsar Suni and his gang stationed themselves in the Traveller van at Karukutty. Manikandan and Vijeesh were in the van with Suni at that time. The Traveller van then followed the actress’s car. At Athani, the van hit the car as planned and caused a minor accident.
After the accident, Manikandan and Vijeesh got out of the car and had an argument with the car driver, Martin. This was a drama to make the actress believe that it was an argument over the accident. Immediately after, Manikandan and Vijeesh got into the back seat of the car and sat with the actress. ‘Don’t worry, Madam, your are safe, Martin has been shouting at us, we won’t let him go, ‘ they told the actress. Then they threatened Martin and made him drive the car ahead. At the same time, the traveller van also followed the car. During the journey, the other accused, Vadival Salim and Pradeep, got into the van. Later, the accused took turns getting into the vehicles several times. Finally, Pulsar Suni also got into the car. Then Pulsar Suni assaulted the actress and recorded the incident. Finally, Martin himself got into the driver’s seat of the car at Vazhakkala. The rest of the accused got out of the car and fled.
The gang had initially planned to carry out the assault in the traveller van in which Pulsar Suni was first travelling. The decision was to get the actress out of the car, put her in the van, and attack her. The delivery van was set up accordingly. However, when Vijeesh was driving, the traveller van often could not keep up with the car. Moreover, the crowd on the road also forced the attempt to be abandoned.
The Ace delivery van in which the accused escaped after the incident is another vehicle involved in the case. Apart from this, three bikes are also involved in the case. One of these is the Pulsar bike with Tamil Nadu registration that Suni and Vijeesh had come to surrender in court. All of these are still kept in the court.
