Snowflake school bosses rename Christmas jumper day to be more ‘inclusive’ in yet more woke madness

WOKE schools have renamed Christmas Jumper Day as Winter Jumper Day to be more “inclusive”.

Others promise ­“festive” celebrations without explicitly using the word Christmas.

Critics have blasted it as “utterly ridiculous”.

It comes ahead of charity Save the Children’s annual Christmas Jumper Day this week, with schools asked to raise funds.

Devonshire Hill Nursery and Primary School in Tottenham, North London, promises its “Winter Jumper Day” will offer parents calendars featuring pics of their children in “festive jumpers” and a “winter scene backdrop”.

Other primary schools in the capital using similar language in describing their jumper day include Newfield, Bannockburn, Greenside and Yerbury.

Yerbury is also hosting a “festive school lunch”.

Susan Hall, Tory leader in the London Assembly, said: “It’s a tradition that goes back quite a long time.

“What is wrong with children celebrating Christmas in our schools?

“It is a Christian country after all — or is supposed to be. It’s outrageous and utterly ridiculous.

“Everyone is so worried about being inclusive and not upsetting anyone. But I am upset when they don’t say Christmas!”

Last week, we revealed bank HSBC had banned ­customer-facing staff from wearing Christmas ­jumpers to avoid upsetting those in financial hardship.

We also reported DIY chain Screwfix said decorations must be hidden from customers’ view.
