Beshear: Injuries reported following shooting on KSU campus

A suspect is in custody following a report of an “active aggressor” at Kentucky State University Dec. 9, the Frankfort Police Department confirmed in a Facebook post.

According to the post, police officials responded to the report on KSU’s campus around 3:35 p.m. Frankfort Police, KSU Campus Police and the Franklin County’s Sheriff’s Office have secured the campus, but it remains on lockdown.

Gov. Andy Beshear confirmed a reported shooting at KSU in a post to X around 3:48 p.m. and said he was aware of “some injuries.”
