A’ja Wilson has been racking up hardware all of 2025. The Las Vegas Aces center took home her fourth WNBA MVP award, tied for Defensive Player of the Year with Minnesota’s Alanna Smith and led her team to a third championship in four years.
Now Wilson is talking about a different kind of future. In a recent interview with TIME magazine, where she was named Athlete of the Year for 2025, the 29-year-old spoke about having children with her boyfriend, Miami Heat center Bam Adebayo.
The Influence of Adebayo on Wilson
The discussion showed how serious their relationship has become over the last four years, going back to the Tokyo Olympics in 2021.
When asked about having kids with Adebayo, Wilson did not bat an eyelid.
“That’s always a dream,” she told TIME. “This is my life partner. Honestly, what on earth was my world before you? That’s how much he’s impacted my life, my family’s life.”
