Zachary Levi To Host ‘David: King Of Israel’ Docudrama For Fox Nation

Zachary Levi will host the four-part docudrama David: King of Israel for Fox Nation, the Fox News Media subscription streaming service.

The series will debut in the first quarter of 2026. The series will join the streamer’s Fox Faith vertical, which recently debuted with the second season of Martin Scorsese Presents: The Saints.

David: King of Israel will include Levi’s narration, reenactments and commentary. The network said that it would be a “raw, sweeping portrait of a man whose life was marked by courage, violence, passion, failure, and redemption.”

Lauren Petterson, president of Fox Nation, said in a statement that Levi “was a natural fit for this series. His sincerity and connection to the material allow King David’s story to come alive in a way that feels relevant to today’s viewers.” Levi said that aside “from the account of Christ, the story of David is the most powerful in all of scripture. In fact, one might argue that it’s even more powerful in some ways, given that David was fully human, and therefore flawed, like us, making his journey more relatable to our own.”

The series was created by Warm Springs Productions, with David L. Cunningham, Marc Pierce, Chris Richardson and Bridger Pierce executive producers.

Levi, the star of Shazam!, earned a Tony nomination for She Loves Me and a SAG Award for his role in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. He drew headlines last year for publicly supporting Donald Trump’s return to the White House.

This post was corrected to reflect that the debut of the series will be in the first quarter of 2026, not the fourth.
