Howard Stern Responds to Kim Kardashian Accusing Him of Mocking Her Robbery

Howard Stern is defending himself after Kim Kardashian criticized his comments about her Paris robbery.
“On the latest episode of the Kim Kardashian show, she accused me of saying that she faked her Paris robbery attempt,” Stern, 71, said on the Tuesday, December 9, episode of SiriusXM’s The Howard Stern Show. “She’s very emotional about it.”
The radio host proceeded to play a clip from a recent episode of The Kardashians, which aired on Hulu.
“Howard Stern was, like, famously mocking it all the time and saying that it was just, ‘I’m sick and it’s such a joke and I made it all up.’ I remember,” Kardashian, 45, said. “He was so defiant about it.”
Kim Kardashian was robbed at gunpoint during a 2016 trip to Paris. Kardashian visited the French capital during Paris Fashion Week, where she heard someone enter her hotel room. “I knew someone was there, like, someone was there to get me. You feel it,” Kardashian recounted to David Letterman in a 2020 interview, noting she […]
In his latest radio show, Stern decided to go back in time and try to locate exactly what he said on the air. After finding some tape, the host attempted to set the record straight.
“If this woman was robbed at gunpoint by a bunch of dudes and they threw her in a bathtub and tied her up or whatever they did, that is frightening,” Stern said on an October 2026 episode of his radio show. “If it is a farce, then really they should go to jail for that.”
When his cohost Robin Quivers said she didn’t think it was a fake story, Stern agreed, saying, “I don’t either.”
At the time, Stern did make a joke about the fact that security footage was very limited in the case.
“The one time the Kardashians don’t have a camera, something interesting happens,” he said.
In his latest radio show, however, Stern didn’t believe Kardashian’s assessment was fair.
“If anything, I would say — now tell me if I’m wrong — I would characterize that discussion as a very fair assessment that some people are saying it’s fake, which was true. And we said, ‘We don’t think it’s fake. We think that she went through something horrible,’” Stern said. “Some guys came into her room and threw her in a bathtub and pointed a gun at her and I said, ‘That’s really frightening.’”
Of all the things Stern has said in his decades-long career, he didn’t expect to make headlines for his comments on Kardashian’s robbery.
“I have said so many awful things in my career,” he joked. “You don’t need to make up stuff. You could certainly find every awful thing I’ve said. It’s no secret.”

In May, eight suspects were found guilty for their role in the robbery. Two other suspects were acquitted, according to The Associated Press.
Although Kardashian wasn’t present for the verdict, she later expressed gratitude for the outcome.
“I am deeply grateful to the French authorities for pursuing justice in this case,” she said via the AP. “The crime was the most terrifying experience of my life, leaving a lasting impact on me and my family. While I’ll never forget what happened, I believe in the power of growth and accountability and pray for healing for all. I remain committed to advocating for justice and promoting a fair legal system.”
