Laufey spreads festive joy with animated MV for her cover of ‘Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town’ — watch
Bossa nova darling Laufey is here to bring all the Christmas feels with the warm and seasonal animated music video for her cover of the Christmas classic ‘Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town‘.
The cover joins previous tracks that have already been featured on her A Very Laufey Holiday album that began in 2021 with ‘Love To Keep Me Warm (with dodie)‘, ‘The Christmas Waltz‘ in 2022, ‘Christmas Dreaming‘ in 2023 and her exclusive Spotify Single which was a cover of ‘Winter Wonderland‘ that also came out in 2023. The record also features her original track ‘Christmas Magic‘ from the 2024 film Red One.
The adorable stop motion music video embodies all the warmth and comfort that the Christmas season brings as it’s wrapped in the captivating pull of Laufey’s voice. Laufey recently also brought holiday cheer to NBC’s Christmas in Rockefeller Center with performances of ‘Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town’, ‘Santa Baby‘, and her original ‘Christmas Magic’. She’ll also perform her hit ‘Lover Girl‘ on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on 10 December.
