Winnipeg Rifles players named to all-star team, win awards

In a remarkable showcase of talent, several players from the Winnipeg Rifles have earned accolades for their outstanding performances during the recent Canadian Junior Football League season. Receiver Jarome Penner and quarterback Riley Element have both secured spots on the Prairie Football Conference’s (PFC) offensive all-star team, highlighting their vital roles in the team’s success.

On the defensive side, linebacker Kyler Banfield and punter Gabriel Yaipen also received recognition, being named defensive all-stars. Additionally, receiver Simon Leckie and defensive back Nigel Reader were acknowledged for their promising potential as members of the all-rookie team.

Individual honors further underlined the players’ contributions; Jarome Penner claimed the PFC’s outstanding receiver award, while Riley Element earned the title of outstanding quarterback.
