Columbus Weather: some flurries, wintry mix possible this weekend

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — Cloudy and cold again to start the weekend, but we could do a little bit of melting this afternoon as highs push into the mid-30s. Most of the day looks dry, but we could have a few hit-and-miss flurries.
- TODAY: Cloudy & cold. A few flurries possible. High 35
- TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy & chilly. Low 28
- SUNDAY: Slight chance of flurries/wintry mix. High 36
- MONDAY: Partly sunny & cold. High 28
- TUESDAY: Mix of sun & clouds. Milder. High 36
- WEDNESDAY: Rain likely, changing to snow & wintry mix. High 41
- THURSDAY: Scattered snow showers. Colder. High 32
A little better chance of some snow showers/wintry mix coming on Sunday as a cold front crosses the state. Temperatures will be very important as we start out with some snowflakes then transition into a little rain as temps rise. An on-and-off wintry mix will be possible through the afternoon, so watch out for wet roads and some slick spots by Sunday night.
We’re back to dry and cold on Monday with highs only in the upper 20s.

A stronger system moves through in the middle of next week, bringing a chance of some rain, sleet, and a wintry mix for Wednesday. Colder temperatures return for the end of next week and into next weekend.
