Luke Littler kicks off the defence of his World Darts Championship title when the tournament gets underway at Alexandra Palace tonight.

Littler is in action on the opening night as he faces unseeded Lithuanian Darius Labanauskas in the first round.

The teenager is bidding to emulate Phil Taylor, Adrian Lewis and Gary Anderson by becoming just the fourth player to retain the World Darts Championship title.

Littler recently became the new world No1 and is favourite to lift the Sid Waddell Trophy and claim the £1million prize money for the winner.

He has already won already won the UK Open, World Matchplay, World Grand Prix, Grand Slam of Darts and Players Championship this year.

Labanauskas is a two-time world championship quarter-finalist and hit a nine-dart finish at Alexandra Palace in 2021.

What time is Luke Littler playing tonight?

Littler plays Labanauskas in the third match of the opening session on Thursday, December 11.

The action is due to get underway at 7pm.

Should Littler progress into the second round, he will meet either Mario Vandenbogaerde or David Davies.
