Tucker Carlson visits Gaza refugees, accuses Israel of murdering children

Media personality and political commentator Tucker Carlson and his team visited some of the 2,000 Palestinians from Gaza who have been taken in by Qatar – including orphans and child amputees – during his recent trip to Doha.

In a new episode on Thursday of the Tucker Carlson Show, released after the visit, Carlson showcased footage from inside the Qatari facilities hosting the refugees, and issued some of his strongest statements yet about Israel’s genocide in Gaza.

Carlson also expressed his discomfort with filming the refugees who have suffered through so much. “We didn’t want to stick a big camera into the people’s faces, so we shot with an iPhone,” he said.

He said he and his team “had to hold back tears” as they witnessed what he called “the cruelty of the evil Israeli regime”, expressed through the injuries of children. “Disfigured kids with their limbs blown off, and mangled faces. The real crime is that the supporters of this atrocity are justifying it,” Carlson said.

The former CNN and Fox News commentator added that Israel shot “dozens and dozens of journalists so that no one can film what’s happening”. Besides, Carlson said, Qatar wanted to evacuate and host far more Palestinians, but Israel “would not allow it”.

The episode and his visit to the Gaza refugees have received a wave of praise on social media this week, as well as some criticism that claimed that Carlson was “antisemitic”.

Carlson’s footage highlights the camp’s medical and rehabilitation aspects. He is accompanied in the facility by staff, and he speaks to the injured, many of whom are severely injured children.

On social media, many reacted, thanking Carlson for emphasising the suffering of Gaza’s injured children straightforwardly.

Carlson’s remarks, particularly his assertion that Israel “murdered” civilians, have circulated widely online, reinvigorating debates over casualty narratives, US media complicity and the role of Gulf mediation. His recent episode has also elevated public scrutiny of Israel’s conduct and intensified discourse within American political circles.

“Israel killed tens of thousands of women and children in Gaza.”

“You can call it whatever you want…
They murdered them it’s just a fact.”

Carlson also focused extensively on the fact that Israel “murdered” and maimed these children on purpose, and there is no such thing as “collateral damage”. Many on social media agreed.

Just in, Exposed by Tucker Carlson Israel is using American weapons to intentionally murder tens of thousands of children.

This is not collateral damage it is a calculated genocide. pic.twitter.com/e1MWOxsZja

Carlson’s Doha visit also drew domestic attention in the United States after he revealed that he intends to purchase a home in Qatar – a move that immediately triggered backlash among some Maga-aligned critics.

The former Fox News host told Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim al-Thani at the Doha Forum on 7 December that he planned to finalise a property purchase the following day.

He said the decision was partly personal – that he “likes the city” – but was also symbolic. Carlson explained that he wanted to “make a statement” after being “criticised as being a tool” of Qatar, and to demonstrate that, as an American, he could live wherever he chooses.

He stopped short of suggesting he was permanently leaving the US.

The revelation added a new layer of controversy to his trip to Qatar, feeding polarised reactions across conservative media and energising his supporters and detractors alike.
