John Stamos Shares His Wife’s NSFW Reaction to ‘Hunting Wives’ Casting, Leaving Craig Speechless

John Stamos being cast in the second season of the Netflix hit “The Hunting Wives” begged an immediate question from his wife about how much of Stamos would be appearing on the show.
The former “Full House” star shared wife Caitlin McHugh’s blunt reaction to his casting on a show known for its racy sex scenes and wild dialogue, and it left Craig Melvin speechless on TODAY.
“I told my wife I was doing it, and she said, ‘Are you going to show your penis?'” Stamos said.
Craig could only laugh as he clasped his hands, bowed his head and took a breath to compose his reaction.
“I said, ‘I don’t think so,'” Stamos continued. “But it’s one of those shows.”
Stamos, former “The O.C.” cast member Cam Gigandet and “Winter’s Bone” actor Dale Dickey have joined the cast of the second season of “The Hunting Wives,” Variety reported on Dec. 9.
The show stars Malin Akerman as the wildcat wife of an aspiring Texas politician and Brittany Snow as a Massachusetts transplant who gets entangled romantically and socially with Akerman’s Margo Banks.
Craig noted that full frontal nudity is not out of the question considering that Stamos hasn’t seen the script yet for the second season of “The Hunting Wives.”
“But if they asked you, you probably would,” Craig said.
“Well, we’ll see,” Stamos replied. “Would you?”
“No! No John, I need this job,” Craig said.
“This is a morning show,” Stamos responded.
“This is a morning show!” Craig said while laughing.
Stamos, 62, who also expressed his wife’s trepidation about “The Hunting Wives” role in an appearance on “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon” on Dec. 11, is currently starring in “Palm Royale” on Apple TV.
He plays doctor, lawyer and “part-time gynecologist” Dr. Dusty Magic on the fourth season of the comedy-drama starring Kristen Wiig.
