Josh Allen Makes Exciting Personal Announcement Before Bills-Patriots

The Buffalo Bills are coming off a big Week 14 win over the Cincinnati Bengals, led by star quarterback Josh Allen, improving to 9–4 heading into Sunday’s critical divisional matchup against the New England Patriots (11–2).

However, some off-the-field news took center stage for Allen on Friday — and it was far more important than Sunday’s game. Allen announced alongside his wife, actress Hailee Steinfeld, that the couple is expecting their first child together.

The news was shared on Instagram in a joint post from the couple, featuring a heartfelt video of them celebrating the moment, accompanied by a simple heart emoji as the caption.

Allen also commented on the post from his own account, writing, “I love you,” directed at Steinfeld, whom he first met in 2023.

Allen and Steinfeld are both 29 years old and were married earlier this year. With Allen’s stardom on and off the field and Steinfeld’s success as one of Hollywood’s most popular actresses — most recently starring in the hit film Sinners — the couple has quickly become fan favorites.

At last season’s NFL Honors, where Allen was named league MVP for the first time, Steinfeld was by his side, and he made a point to direct much of the praise toward her.

“You’ve been my rock. You are my best friend,” Allen said while addressing Steinfeld. “I would not be standing on this stage if it weren’t for you.”

While Allen’s focus for the remainder of the NFL season will certainly be on football, there are always things bigger than sports — and this announcement is a prime example.

The Bills sit two games behind the Patriots in the AFC East, and a win on Sunday could make the race for the division even more interesting as they push to capture the title for a sixth consecutive year. With this personal moment, it seems Allen may have a little extra motivation heading into the stretch run.
