Enrique confirms Paris Saint-Germain’s readiness to face Metz

Luis Enrique, the coach of Paris Saint-Germain, confirmed his team’s readiness to face Metz in the sixteenth round of the French league, noting the difficulty of playing away and the challenges the team faces at the end of the season.
Enrique said about the team’s performance: “In terms of performance, I believe we are where we want to be. We have improved many aspects, but there is still room for further improvements. Based on what I see on the field, I am happy, both offensively and defensively.”
He continued about facing Metz: “Every match has its own challenges, whether it’s against Metz or any other team. We only know that it will be tough because they will be motivated and need to win. Playing away is always difficult.”
He added about the match schedule and travel pressure: “I hope it doesn’t cause too much fatigue. We are traveling a lot at the end of this year, but we don’t want to make excuses. We travel under the best conditions, but it can be exhausting. From what I see in training, the team is ready to face this exciting and challenging part of the season.”
He continued regarding goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier: “He returned to us and trained normally today, and we were able to monitor Matvei Safonov at work. He showed good qualities and high professionalism. I am happy to see that everyone is ready to deliver the required performance if necessary.”
He spoke about the Club World Cup: “All the teams participating in this tournament will be equally motivated. The cup is always important, and this tournament is one we rarely get the chance to win, so it will be very important for us.”
He added about the team’s European participation: “We can make comparisons with last season, but what we are showing now is a continuation of what we delivered in the last six months of the previous season. I believe no one doubts the quality of our team. Sometimes we can improve, and other times we might perform less well, but we play with the same style and intensity as we did last season.”
He concluded his remarks about Ousmane Dembélé: “We want him to return to us in his best condition. This is unfortunate for the team and for him personally. We know what he can contribute, but we have to manage his absence and ensure he recovers in the best possible shape. He has been ill in recent days and has started individual training again. There is also a recovery process; we must be careful with every injured player.”
